Every book is a new journey to embark on. I mainly read romances, but I dabble in other genres too.
Won this in a giveaway on GoodReads. It is also my first Eloisa James novel, and I'm sorry to say that I'm not really impressed by it. I know it is a fairy tale romance, and it did feel like a fairy tale romance, but I still found it lacking. I didn't really see Kate (the Cinderella in the story) falling in love with the prince and vice versa. Their relationship developed a bit too fast for me.
In general though, I liked the story and the characters. The godmother for instance is a delightful character since she is so forward. I just wished that the romance was fleshed out a little more.
Edit: I did a second read. My rating didn't change.
