Every book is a new journey to embark on. I mainly read romances, but I dabble in other genres too.
Well... after reading Undead and Unfinished, I can understand why many people gave it a low rating. It is definitely darker than any of the previous books, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it's a huge departure from being cute and funny. The epilogue everyone keeps mentioning will throw you for a loop, because it's pretty outrageous. I mean, the Book of the Dead was made from Sinclair's skin. Really? I got to be honest though, I sort of liked that. It caught my attention at least, and it makes me want to read the next book to see what happens. Darn you, Davidson.
As a whole though, this book is... I don't know... sloppy? I liked the time traveling idea, and I liked reading about Laura and Betsy's adventures into the past and the supposed dismal future. Too bad it doesn't come in until halfway towards the book, because again, we're subjected to whole lot of summarizing. This time, it takes up the first half of the book. The second half of the book is pretty ok. It holds my interest, and we get to learn more about Sinclair and Tina. But my god, Betsy has become an annoying character. I loved her in the first few books, but now she makes me cringe
