Every book is a new journey to embark on. I mainly read romances, but I dabble in other genres too.
Some good ideas here, but they're weren't explored thoroughly. The time pirate thing was vague and hardly touched upon. The romance was shallow. How in the world could the duke fall in love with Stormy like that? He only saw her as a young teen before she disappeared and then when he finds her again they are in love? Not buying it.
My first time reading something that is steampunk (the publisher has it under steampunk), and this didn't fit the bill. It's hardly even there. The only thing that was remotely steampunk to me was the time travel device and its design, but I'm not sure if that counts.
