Every book is a new journey to embark on. I mainly read romances, but I dabble in other genres too.

The Cat Who Had 14 Tales by Lilian Jackson Braun

The Cat Who Had 14 Tales - Lilian Jackson Braun

After reading the less than stellar The Cat Who Saw Stars, I decided to take a break from the regular novels in the Cat Who series by reading the collection of short stories.

You would think judging by the title that this would be related to the series. Not so. They're just general cat stories. The only one that might be linked to the Cat Who world is Tipsy and the Board of Health since it seems to be about Tipsy, the cat of which Tipsy's Tavern (one of the restaurants Qwill likes to go every so often) is named after.

Therefore if you're a fan of the Cat Who series, I'd say don't bother with this one. I only read it since I happened to already have it.

Stories that I liked:

  • Phu Phat Concentrates
  • Weekend of the Big Puddle
  • The Fluppie Phenomenon
  • The Hero of Drummond Street
  • The Dark One
  • SuSu and the 8:30 Ghost
  • Stanley and Spook

So out of fourteen I liked half of them. The other half were on the ok-ish side.
